Hi! My name is Brandon, and I am a theater, film, and television actor based in New York City.
A bit about me! I moved to New York when I was 18. Cat dad to Bruiser. Lover of Iced Black coffee, long boarding, running, and reading. I have five friends who do Sunday Suppers every week where my friend Kyle and I cook, we play games. Favorite play I have read recently, Cock. Favorite movie, Clue.
Me and theater, my first love, I love theater that pushes my physical limits with things like, stage combat, choreography, and use of techniques like View Pointing and physical theater… basically anything that lets me climb, slide, jump, swing, fly, flip, and even swim all over the stage. Recently I’ve been really interested in minimalist/expressionist productions, especially of classic works. Specifically Jamie Lloyd’s work has been so inspiring. GOTTA play, Scorpius (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child), Prior (Angeles in America), M (Cock), Ariel (The Tempest).
Me and Film and television, I will admit that it is rarely the strapping leading man role that saves the day that I fall in love with. I have a much stronger proclivity and soft spot for the guy who often does the wrong thing, the dark humored lovable side kick with a dark secret, and the hopelessly devoted to the wrong person. I think no matter how difficult, it is non negotiable for me that I find a way to love and unequivocally be on the side of the characters I play. I find this challenge and exercise in empathy, understanding, and deep character analysis thrilling, and deeply humbling.
